CAMPERS GIVING BACK

On Saturday, camp alumni enjoyed a rewarding day of service at KEEN New York, an organization that provides one-to-one recreational opportunities for children and young adults with developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers. With the help of New York Cares, we were able to bring 13 camp alumni to the East 54th Street Recreation Center for an afternoon of playing and running around with a group of very energetic kids. While we couldn’t take pictures during the event, a few of us did attempt a selfie after.
Now, we’re taking a few weekends off so we can focus on finalizing our Summer 2015 cohort — as I mentioned last week, we sent out our first round of acceptance notifications a little over a week ago. Then, during the week of Spring Break, we’ll be busy, with three events on the docket: a college trip to SUNY Stony Brook, a service day at East New York Farms!, and a cooking class led by volunteer Lexie Ruse.
Thank You Steven Kessner!
